| 2011-06-19 Upper Cabinets are down! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!
The upper cabinets have been cleaned out and are now down. These came down a lot faster once we realized the wood was pretty crappy and no use trying to salvage it. So with a crow bar and sledge hammer I went to town! Next up - the fir down comes down and we re-Sheetrock the kitchen ceiling.

| 2011-06-14 Where did the stove go?!?! - Update - The hood is gone too! We are still moving forward, taking my days off and putting them to good use. The stove is gone and so is the cabinet that held it. Great Maker I love power tools. Check it out!
Update! The Hood is now gone. And no one was electrocuted!
Progress on the hood!
How the kitchen currently looks.

| 2011-06-13 Two in one day? Yup! Two posts in one day. The cabinet holding the oven is gone. Demolition style.
You remember that shelf we removed last weekend? Good. Here is the new pass through that Sun cut.

| 2011-06-12 The oven is gone! Well, hell. We are now committed. The oven is now gone from the wall. And I ain't putting that mother back in. The dolly we got was worth every dime we paid for it!
We also have gotten a new fridge. It's shiny!
Well I guess this means that the kitchen remodel is in full swing. Here are some pictures. Pardon the mess, we've been prepping for this and have been putting our energy to other things.

| 2011-06-05 It's an update! Oh yeah! Okay, I know it has been a very long time since I last posted here. I've been busy and I do a lot with Facebook. But I am going to try and get more stuff put here.
Walker has had another birthday. He is now taller than me. He and Sun made their annual trek to Round Rock Donuts. He once again got one of the humongous, monster donuts. But he likes them ;) Walker has also successfully completed his first year of High School! He is no longer a Freshman, but now a Sophomore!
Our Tomatoes are coming ready too. I am looking forward to fresh Tomatoes! Here are some pictures of the Vorlon tomato!
Probably the biggest news is that we are at long last beginning to remodel our Kitchen. Yes, we have been talking about it since I moved here almost 8 years ago. We are finally doing it. It's a small start but here are the first pictures!

| 2010-10-10 Is Shawn Still alive? Yes - I am still alive. Been busy. Very busy! A lot going on. Where to start?
Doc (Sun's Father)finally passed. During his decline many trips were made down to Rockport to help with him out. When he finally passed more trips were made to clean out the house and prep it for sale. Not a pleasant time, but we survived.
Sun has started her new endeavor! Cold Fuzion Productions . It is a small recording studio catering to the up and coming artist. She has a small stable of artists but it is growing.
Walker, our little man, is now a freshman in high school. He is doing quite well. We are excited and happy that the bus runs close so we do not have to drive him to school any more.
We have two new additions to our family. Two rambunctious puppies! Martock and Grilka. If you do not recognize the name then I suggest that you hit Google ;)
I know, I know, no new pictures. We have a lot, I am just sifting through all of them. Expect some soon!
| 2009-12-28 The year is winding down
What is that you ask? Why it's a Monitor Lizard!
2009 is winding down. Ben a long, windy road. We've come through nearly unscathed! I am certainly looking forward to the new possibilities for 2010!
I've posted some new pictures of Walker and some of his lewt! check it out under the Yule 2009 section!
The Tree of Geek has been taken down. Her ornaments put away, waiting for next year. To tell you just how geeky I am for each ornament I removed I visualized the scene from the movie, the dialog, music, and special effects. You can look at the past Yules and see the variety of ornaments we have as well. Good times!
This last Saturday was interesting. Due to forcasted call volume everyone was scheduled. If you were normally off on Saturdays you were given a new day off and scheduled to work Saturdays. This honked a lot of people off, especially those who had scheduled plans for the weekend. Now the thing is - I have worked the day after Christmas for the last 3 or 4 years. We are never that busy. Every rep was scheduled to work. Only two managers were, however. Our Area Manager was not. So the reps get shafted. And to prove a point, in the nearly 4 hours I stayed there I took two phone calls. Someone dropped the ball there, but you live and learn. The upside is they allowed us to leave early. I just hope they remember this the next time.
Well, I hope everyone had a great holiday, no matter what you celebrate. The year is closing down and we shall see what trials and tribulations 2010 brings us!
